Photo Gallery
For a few years in the late ’90s, I dispensed with the camera and travelled capturing pictures of what I saw with my mind’s eye. But then I realised that there was no way to share these experiences with my children. So then I began photography with an earnest again. This time around, digital cameras have come into the market.
In the past, when we travelled with a camera, three rolls of film would be appear extravagant. The cost of processing the films was not small, and friends would go ‘ooo’ and ‘aaa’ whenever anyone travelled with three to five rolls of film.
Nowadays with digital cameras, we snap away. During the last holiday with Elizabeth, we took enough photographs to fill up two memory cards, 16G plus 8G. I think we snapped close to 4000 pictures between us.
I am hardly in photos because I am behind cameras most times. But here we are, this is a small gallery of photos showing my life so far. When I met a now good friend Dean, he said to me, if you want to know where I have been and who I am, come see my photos. And so I did. Yes, indeed, our photos tell a journey, even to ourselves.
So though I have a gap in my collection of photos in the late ’90s, I am now back again, snapping pictures of everything around me. But no one snaps me though. Sigh!
