The New Woman

I am woman, hear me roar? No bra burning for me, thanks!

Let’s face it. The New Woman is no longer someone who will put on an apron and slave away behind a stove and potter around the home figuring out furniture. Yes, we do things like that when we want to and out of love for our families.

The New Woman loves her career and her contributions to her workplace. Whether she is a secretary or a CEO, whether she is a homemaker by decision or a Olympic medallist, the New Woman makes decisions, embraces her decisions and lives life to the fullest. The New Woman loves being beautiful but is not a slave to one concept of beauty. She sees beauty in the weather worn face of a Vietnamese field worker she met whilst on holiday as she sees beauty in the power-suited New Yorker she had lunch with three weeks ago.

She loves totally to-die for stilettoes but enjoys walking around in her Nike gear, feeling on top of the world after a work-out . When she walks through a shopping mall, she is a queen in her domain; she buys but always after she has secured her own future.
