Spirituality
One would think that if a woman was of the Gorgeous, Sexy and Rich category of women, that the woman had little concern over little else besides her looks, her money and her man/men. After all, that’s what GSR is really about, isn’t it? Looks, money and men?
No.
But first, let me answer the question, why this title? Why Gorgeous, Sexy and Rich? I was asked many times.
It goes back to ‘What do women want?’
I believe that all women want to be
- Gorgeous – feeling good about how we look to the ones who matter
- Sexy – feeling confident in our own skin and wearing whatever we feel is right and appropriate without fear of what others think
- Rich – being financially independent and not having to depend on a man for money, although we still would like them to buy us occasional presents once a while
So where does the spirituality come in, did I hear you say?
Well, I believe more than anything else that women are spiritual beings as well. Of course m
en are too. But we, women, are more aware of our ‘mother nature’ selves, and our closeness to ‘Life’ by our ability to give birth and to carry life within ourselves. In ancient days, the menstrual cycle of women, our ability to conceive and to give birth, and our ability to drive some men completely insane with sexual desire is something that men feared, honoured and in some cases worshipped. There were many civilisations, before the arrival of weaponry because of the discovery of iron ore, that upheld women and women’s positions in society. Women were leaders and high priestesses, and respected shamans/medicine person as we knew back then the secrets to rebalancing health the natural way.
We lost all these ‘rights’ or ‘positions’ when men discovered weapons and realised that they were ‘stronger’ than women when they conquered lands, and took belongings.
Today, spiritual energy is latent within us, as much as it is latent within men. But I believe that most women today have a knowing deep that unless things change in the world, our planet faces a difficult future. And so, I believe that more women will come forward in the coming years. It will be women whose voice we will increasingly hear in leadership. We see things more holistically than men do, and this will be welcomed by other women and some men. For, no longer are women willing to accept blindly and without question what the men leadership is doing by their going solo all those years in the past. We are not willing to accept all their methods of ‘winning’ whether winning at work, at home or in the bedroom. Ours is a gentle arising for change. Not to dominate, but to become partners for earth leadership.
I wrote Gorgeou
s Sexy and Rich with a view to bring the ‘everyday’ woman, women like myself, sometimes single, sometimes divorced, sometimes happy, and sometimes unhappy and seeking answers, to find themselves. So, we begin with money and then we find our places in society where we can be happy with who we are.
This is spirituality to me. It is a call for women to recognise the part in them that is divine and for us to know that we need to take our places in society, as leaders, mothers, activists, change-makers and yes, entrepreneurs. Unless we do, earth will not find the balance it needs.
Gorgeous Sexy and Rich is a call to women to arise to their rightful place on earth to become joint leaders and equal partners to the men for the decisions that affect planet earth, beginning first with the home, the community, the society, the nation and then the world. In so doing, we become complete and whole. To me, a GSR woman is also spiritual woman. Such a woman is beautiful, confident, loving and independent while choosing interdependence.
Such a woman is Gorgeous, Sexy and Rich.
